The Role
We are hiring a Techno Functional Consultant who can sit at the intersection of business, ERP, and analytics. You will own Acumatica implementations and enhancements end-to-end, build powerful Generic Inquiries that bring data alive, and translate that data into Power BI dashboards executives actually use. This is not a pure developer role, nor is it a pure functional analyst role. It is a rare hybrid in between, and that is exactly what makes it powerful.
You will work directly with client CFOs, controllers, project managers, and IT leaders. You will be the person who makes Acumatica work for them, not the other way around.
What You Will Own
1. Acumatica Implementation and Configuration. Lead and execute Acumatica implementations across Financials, Project Accounting, Distribution, CRM, and Construction Edition modules. Configure workflows, business events, automation schedules, and approval maps that fit how the client actually operates.
2. Generic Inquiries (GI) Mastery. Design and build advanced Generic Inquiries using joins, parameters, filters, formulas, navigation, and pivot tables. Convert GIs into dashboards, reports, and OData feeds. Make GIs the backbone of self-service reporting for clients.
3. Power BI Reporting and Analytics. Build production-grade Power BI reports and dashboards on top of Acumatica data through OData, REST API, and SQL. Write performant DAX, design proper star schemas, build a clean date table, and apply row-level security. Deliver dashboards that load fast and tell a clear story.
4. Customizations and Integrations. Work with developers on Acumatica customizations, screens, custom fields, and integrations with third-party systems through REST and SOAP APIs. Translate functional requirements into clear technical specs.
5. Requirement Gathering and Client Advisory. Run discovery sessions, document business processes, propose solutions, and build statements of work. Push back when needed, recommend the right path, and earn trust as a true advisor.
6. Training and Knowledge Transfer. Train client users, write clean documentation, record walkthrough videos, and make sure the client is fully self-sufficient after go-live.
7. Pre-Sales Support. Support our sales team with product demos, proof of concepts, and solution architecture for prospective clients.
Must Have Skills
You will be successful in this role if you bring:
· 3 to 6 years of hands-on Acumatica experience across at least Financials, Project Accounting, and one industry edition.
· Deep, working command of Generic Inquiries. You can build a multi-join GI with parameters, formulas, pivots, and side panels without breaking a sweat.
· Strong Power BI delivery experience, including Power Query M, DAX, data modeling, row-level security, and gateway setup.
· Solid SQL skills. You can write joins, CTEs, and window functions, and you understand performance tuning.
· Working knowledge of Acumatica REST and OData endpoints.
· Functional understanding of accounting, project costing, billing, AR, AP, and GL.
· Ability to run client meetings on your own, document requirements clearly, and translate them into working solutions.
· Excellent written and spoken English communication.
Nice to Have
These are not deal breakers, but they will move your resume to the top of the pile:
· Acumatica certifications (T100, T200, T300, T400 series).
· Experience with Acumatica Construction Edition or Manufacturing Edition.
· Exposure to Vista by Viewpoint, Spectrum, or other construction ERPs.
· Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification (PL 300).
· Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric.
· Familiarity with Acumatica Report Designer and Dashboards.
· Prior consulting or VAR experience.
