Job Summary
We are looking for a Techno-Functional Application Support Executive who can support users in operating accounting or business applications, understand basic accounting workflows, resolve software-related queries, coordinate with the technical team, and assist clients or internal users in day-to-day application usage.
Key Responsibilities
Provide application support to clients or internal users.
Handle user queries related to accounting software, Tally, or custom business applications.
Understand basic accounting processes such as sales, purchase, receipt, payment, journal, contra, ledger, debtor-creditor, and bank reconciliation.
Assist users in entering and verifying accounting data in the software.
Check and explain software reports such as ledger reports, trial balance, outstanding reports, GST reports, and transaction reports.
Identify software issues, user errors, workflow gaps, and data entry mistakes.
Coordinate with the development team for bug reporting, issue tracking, and testing.
Prepare proper issue documentation with screenshots, steps, and expected output.
Test new features, bug fixes, and software updates before client delivery.
Train users on software modules and accounting-related workflows.
Support data verification, report checking, and basic troubleshooting.
Maintain support tickets, client communication records, and issue status updates.
Coordinate with accounts, operations, technical, and management teams.
Required Skills
Basic accounting knowledge is required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in application support or accounting software handling.
Working knowledge of Tally or any accounting software.
Ability to understand business workflows and explain them to users.
Good knowledge of sales, purchase, payment, receipt, journal, contra, ledger, and bank reconciliation concepts.
Ability to test software modules and report issues properly.
Good communication and client-handling skills.
Basic troubleshooting ability.
Good knowledge of MS Excel.
Ability to coordinate with technical and non-technical teams.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and follow up on pending issues.
Software Knowledge
Tally Prime / Tally ERP or any accounting software
Custom accounting software or ERP software
MS Excel
MS Word
Email handling
Basic ticketing/support system knowledge preferred
Educational Qualification
Graduate preferred.
B.Com / BBA / BCA / MCA / Diploma in Computer or Accounting will be preferred.
Tally certification or accounting software training will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in software/application support.
Should have basic accounting knowledge.
Should be comfortable handling Tally or any accounting software.
Should be able to communicate with clients and understand their software-related problems.
Should be able to explain issues clearly to the development team.
Should be responsible, patient, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new software systems.
