Sales Strategy & Business Growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation and qualification of potential customers (OEM’s, converters) in both local and international markets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and high retention rates.
Commercial & Portfolio Management
- Involves identifying growth opportunities to develop new business with potential customers
- Optimize customer and product portfolios to enhance profitability and long-term value creation.
- Oversee monthly supply-demand balancing and product mix optimization.
- Negotiate sales contracts, pricing, and terms with new and existing clients to secure profitable deals.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activity, regulatory changes, and key market drivers to inform strategy and pricing decisions.
· Analyse industry trends, competitor behaviour, and feedstock availability to identify growth prospects
Reporting & CRM
· Manage sales funnels, track customer interactions in the CRM tool, and prepare monthly/weekly sales reports and MIS updates for senior management.
Person Specification
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Polymer science.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the polymers, plastics, or packaging industry with experience in technical and sales roles
- In-depth knowledge of polymers and their applications in packaging, automotive or consumer goods
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong technical and commercial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand markets, applications, and evolving customer needs.
- Proficiency in MS office tools (excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software
