Vice President of Communications (Remote, United States)
The Vice President of Communications is responsible for leading the organization’s internal and external communication strategy, ensuring consistent, clear, and compelling messaging across all channels. This role shapes brand voice, strengthens stakeholder trust, and supports executive-level communication in a distributed work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a communications strategy aligned with business objectives
- Oversee corporate messaging, brand positioning, and external content quality
- Lead internal communications to ensure alignment, clarity, and engagement across teams
- Manage media relations and external communication activities
- Partner with executive leadership on speeches, announcements, and strategic messaging
- Support crisis communication planning and response coordination
- Lead and develop communications team members and external partners
- Track communication effectiveness and refine messaging strategies
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate messaging
- Senior leadership experience in communications or related fields
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in cross-functional and global environments
- Ability to operate effectively in remote-first organizations
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with executive stakeholders
Preferred Experience
- Experience in global communications or multi-market organizations
- Background in brand strategy, corporate messaging, or public relations
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and platforms
