Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technician role based in Kochi. The Technician will install, configure, and maintain security systems and related equipment at customer locations and within the facility. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all installations meet safety, performance, and quality standards. The role involves collaborating with the sales and support teams to understand customer requirements, providing clear guidance to customers on system usage, and documenting work performed. The Technician will also assist with inventory checks, basic system testing, and coordination with vendors or senior technicians when specialized support is required.
Qualifications
- Technical aptitude in installing, configuring, and maintaining electronic or security systems, with the ability to read and follow technical manuals or wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose faults, perform repairs, and verify system performance.
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety, tools, and best practices for on-site work, including safe handling of equipment and components.
- Effective communication and customer-service skills to explain technical information clearly and professionally to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and handle multiple service requests or projects.
- Willingness to work on-site at customer locations in and around Kochi, including occasional extended hours when needed for installations or urgent support.
- Secondary education or technical diploma in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.
- Comfort with basic computer use for service reports, documentation, and communication; familiarity with security systems software is a plus.
- Previous experience in security systems, CCTV, access control, or related technical support roles is an advantage but not mandatory.
