Role Description This full-time Technician role is an on-site position located in Bengaluru South. The Technician will install, assemble, and commission fire curtain systems according to technical drawings, product specifications, and safety regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and documenting work performed. The role involves coordinating with supervisors, engineers, and client representatives, ensuring clear communication about progress, safety requirements, and any technical concerns. The Technician will also support testing procedures, adhere to quality standards, follow all health and safety protocols, and assist in training team members on proper installation and maintenance practices.
Qualifications
- Hands-on technical skills in mechanical assembly, basic electrical work, and use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
- Knowledge of safety standards, fire protection systems, and on-site safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, engineers, and clients, and for maintaining clear service documentation.
- Comfort with working at project sites, including commercial and institutional buildings, and willingness to travel locally as required.
- Relevant technical diploma, ITI, or certification in mechanical, electrical, or related trade; prior experience in installation or maintenance of building systems is an advantage.
