Role Description The Technician will work on-site in Valsad in a full-time capacity, supporting rail project activities and technical operations. Daily responsibilities include performing routine inspections and maintenance of equipment, assisting with installation and commissioning of systems, and supporting troubleshooting and repairs under the guidance of senior technical staff. The role involves following safety procedures, documenting work performed, and reporting issues or irregularities to supervisors. The Technician will collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure project timelines are met and that equipment and systems function reliably.
Qualifications
- Practical knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems, with the ability to read basic technical drawings and follow standard operating procedures.
- Hands-on experience with tools, equipment handling, and routine maintenance or repair work in an industrial, rail, or infrastructure environment.
- Strong attention to safety, including adherence to site safety protocols, use of personal protective equipment, and awareness of risk in field operations.
- Ability to work on-site in Valsad, including flexibility for shift work, field assignments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills, including basic documentation of tasks, reporting of faults, and coordination with supervisors.
- Relevant ITI, diploma, or vocational qualification in a technical trade (such as electrician, fitter, mechanical, or related discipline); prior experience in rail or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn new procedures and technologies, with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
