About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels at translating complex technical information into clear, accessible documentation. As a Technical Writer at ACL Digital, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a comprehensive suite of technical documents that support our products and services. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and quality assurance teams to ensure that all documentation aligns with product releases and updates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software documentation, API writing, and a good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in technical writing within a software or product environment. A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is essential. Experience in creating API documentation, particularly with REST, JSON, and Swagger/OpenAPI standards, is required. Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence, Markdown, and MadCap Flare is necessary, along with familiarity with version control systems like Git. Basic programming knowledge in Java or Python will be advantageous. The candidate must have excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain user guides, administrator guides, and technical manuals that effectively communicate product functionalities.
- Develop comprehensive API documentation, including specifications, integration guides, and reference materials using standards like Swagger and OpenAPI.
- Draft and publish release notes, FAQs, knowledge base articles, and other supporting documentation to enhance user understanding and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, and Quality Assurance to gather accurate information and validate technical content.
- Convert complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation suitable for diverse audiences.
- Maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency across all materials.
- Implement version control protocols to manage document updates effectively and ensure accuracy across different product versions.
- Align documentation activities with product release schedules and updates to ensure timely delivery of content.
- Continuously review and improve documentation processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
