Name: Technical Trainer – Copper Production / Non – Ferrous Metal

Educational Qualification: B.E. or B. Tech / M.E. or M.Tech – Metallurgy / Chemical / Mechanical (Specialization in Metallurgy)

Engagement Type: Guest Faculty / Per-Day Honorarium Basis

Business Unit / Department: Corporate Skilling

Location: NTTF corporate Skilling Projects – Electronic City, Bangalore or Mundra, Gujarat

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of industrial experience in non – ferrous metal industry (Preferably Copper). Exposure to smelting, converter operations, and electro-refining processes is mandatory. Prior experience in technical training or teaching preferred.

Target Audience: Shopfloor Associates/Operators, Line Supervisors

Key Requisites:

·        Strong Domain experience in Copper production / Non – ferrous metallurgy.

·        Hands – On experience in,

·        Ore concentrate handling & preparation, smelter operations (Furnace operations, Heat balance), Converter Operations (Matte to Blister Copper), Anode furnace & Casting, Electro-refining Process.

·        Clear understanding of thermodynamics in smelting, Heat and mass balance, Process parameters & control.

·        Familiarity with plant SOPs, documentation practices, safety practices in high temperature & molten metal environments, environmental considerations.

·        Ability to explain the process flow, monitoring and control to entry level DET operators.

·        Strong communication, presentation, and learner engagement skills.

Key Modules to be covered:

·        Metallurgy Fundamentals.

·        Copper Production Processes.

·        End to end process flow, Equipment overview, and Critical process parameters.

·        Workplace SOPs, Do’s & Don’ts, Hazard identification, Preventive & Safety Measures.

·        Facilitating the plant visit.

Langauge / Communication: Candidate should be conversant in spoken English & Hindi. Knowledge of any other regional language (Preferably Gujarati) is an advantage.

Roles & responsibilities:

·        Conduct interactive classroom and hands-on training sessions as per the given curriculum.

·        Deliver real process oriented sessions with real industrial examples.

·        Explain process flow, equipment, and safety practices inside the plant.

·        Use appropriate training aids such as videos, case studies, and process diagrams for better understanding.

·        Exposure to SCADA based monitoring.

·        Facilitate activities, plant visits, and assessments aligned with program objectives.

·        Provide feedback and performance evaluation for participants.

·        Coordinate with NTTF program coordinator for training logistics and reporting.
