Pre-requisite Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Over 3+ years of experience in Audio and Video System or Computer Programming
industry.
- Excellent Computer software knowledge on Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office,
AutoCAD, Photoshop and Corel Draw
- Excellent Computer programming language knowledge on Visual Basic, C, C++, C#
language, HTML5 and Web Server
- Good knowledge in Information Technology such as MySQL, IIS, MS Exchange Server,
TCP/IP, FTP, Telnet, WWW, and Ethernet / Internet applications
- Network+, CCENT or CCNA certifications a plus
- Good knowledge in Troubleshooting on electronic products
- Ability to coach and guide team member
- Ability to respond in an intelligently in a well-articulated manor
- Ability to listen and assess a customer’s issue
- Ability to trouble shoot a system through deductive reasoning
- Ability to complete programming assignments
- Ability to be courteous and positive when speaking to customers on the phone
- Ability to present technical information in an interesting and compelling manner
- Ability to quickly assimilate technical information
- Ability to travel to customer’s sites to deliver training
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-organizationally

II. Position Accountabilities
1. Teach all Crestron Technical Institute instructor-led training including Certification
class
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skill levels required to be a subject matter
expert on the material and content of all CTI classes assigned to teach
3. Design/develop course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals,
and exercises
4. Continuously evaluate and revise current course content and curriculum to meet
new training requirements and keep technical information up to date
5. Write course curriculum and determine most effective teaching methodology
6. Prepare for training delivery (such as reviewing content, using equipment and/or
software, consulting subject matter experts, assessing audience)
7. Prepare the Training Room and related resources prior to the start of each class
8. Responsible for maintenance of hardware and software used for training purposes
and recommending repairs and upgrades to management where appropriate
9. Be available for hosting dinner and evening entertainment activities with students 2-
3 times per week
10. Deliver occasional customized onsite training for Crestron dealers
11. Teach Crestron seminars at trade shows
12. Teach using a open and friendly style with a demonstrated commitment to Crestron
products
13. Commitment to provide the best possible learning experience for the people being
trained
14. Travel estimated at 15%
15. Follow Company and immediate supervisor’s instructions and regulations
