About the Team and the Role: The Talent development team at Ather is responsible for upskilling dealer staff and ensuring technical proficiency across the service network.
This role is for a Technical Trainer who will conduct technical training for new hires, manage refresher courses for new product launches, and support the creation of service manuals and diagnostic content.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical new hire training, refresher sessions, and update training for dealers on new product launches.
- Maintain training spaces, vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure an optimal learning environment.
- Support the creation of training content, including photoshoots, videos, and service manual improvisations.
- Evaluate the technical abilities of dealer staff and identify opportunities for upskilling.
- Participate in man-hour improvisation processes and develop tools to reduce service costs and time.
- Support Design for Service (DFS) activities by providing hands-on feedback on proto-parts or vehicles.
- Provide field support for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved at the dealership level.
- Drive the adoption of the Learning Management System (LMS) and provide technical support to the field team.
Experience And Qualifications
- Diploma or Engineering in a technical background.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a technical trainer in the Automobile service industry.
Must Have Competencies
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical components and circuits with hands-on technical experience.
- Simplification of complex technical information into digestible, logical steps for varied audiences.
- Utilization of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Execution of electronic diagnosis and troubleshooting to resolve ground-level product issues.
Good to Have Competencies
- Development of technical training content including instructional videos and service manuals.
- Implementation of man-hour improvement strategies and cost-effective service tool development.
- Facilitation of Design for Service (DFS) feedback loops between field operations and engineering.
- Coordination of large-scale training rollouts for new vehicle initiatives and updates.
