We are a small, fast-moving product team (~12 engineers, growing to 20+) where every engineer has a direct impact on the product and customers.
About the Role
This is a hands-on technical support and production engineering role.
You will work closely with live customers, debug production issues, investigate data and integration problems, trace API and sync failures, identify root causes, and fix issues across the application stack.
This is not a ticket-forwarding role. You will actively work with:
- Node.js application code
- PostgreSQL queries
- APIs and integrations
- admin/configuration modules
- logs and deployment environments
You should enjoy problem-solving, debugging, and understanding how enterprise software behaves in real-world production environments.
Responsibilities
- Debug and resolve production issues across application, database, and integration layers
- Investigate issues using logs, SQL queries, APIs, admin configurations, and application code
- Fix bugs and support production releases in coordination with the engineering team
- Write and execute SQL scripts for data corrections and reconciliation when required
- Reproduce reported issues and identify root causes
- Work closely with customers to understand problems, provide updates, and explain resolutions clearly
- Coordinate with the core engineering team for deeper product or architectural issues
- Document recurring issues, fixes, and troubleshooting approaches for future reference
- Monitor recurring production patterns and proactively flag operational risks
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience working with Node.js applications
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting mindset
- Comfortable writing SQL queries in PostgreSQL including joins, updates, aggregations, and data analysis
- Understanding of REST APIs, request flows, payloads, and integrations
- Ability to navigate and understand existing codebases
- Familiarity with Git and deployment workflows
- Comfortable investigating issues across code, database, APIs, and configurations
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with customers professionally
- Ownership mindset — follow issues through until they are fully resolved
Good to Have
- Experience in production support, L2/L3 support, or SaaS operations
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools
- Exposure to ERP integrations such as SAP
- Understanding of webhooks, third-party integrations, and sync processes
- Experience working with enterprise or B2B customers
