Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a Technical Support Engineer IOT, KNX & Linux. The role involves providing technical support for Cue Home’s smart home OS, including KNX-based building automation systems, Linux-based controllers, and IoT devices across residential and commercial deployments. The Technical Support Engineer will diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, reproduce and document problems, and work closely with engineering and product teams to drive resolutions. Day-to-day tasks include handling support tickets and calls, guiding integrators and installers through configuration and commissioning, preparing clear technical documentation and FAQs, and assisting with on-site or remote deployment support when needed. The role also includes monitoring system performance, identifying patterns in recurring issues, and recommending improvements to enhance reliability, security, and user experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for IoT, KNX, and Linux-based systems, including diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret logs, system metrics, and user feedback, and to identify root causes and recurring patterns.
- Customer Support and Customer Service experience, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and provide timely, solution-oriented responses.
- Working knowledge of KNX protocols, home automation platforms (e.g., Home Assistant), and Linux administration (CLI, services, networking) is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi, VLANs, and basic security practices in connected devices and smart home environments.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and user guides for integrators and end users.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to work on-site in Ahmedabad, support field deployments when required,
