Role Description
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to handle the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Haloocom’s enterprise communication solutions. The role involves system installation, resolving technical issues, and providing timely remote and onsite support to ensure smooth and reliable system operations for customers.
Qualifications
- Implement and install solutions on the customer's test and production environments.
- Work onsite and offsite to troubleshoot and diagnose customer reported issues on the different levels of solutions (i.e. Database, Application, Network, Communication, and Integration Interfaces Levels).
- Act positively and respond promptly to the customer’s requests/tickets. Prepare, review and ensure accuracy of technical documentation.
- Conduct Preventive / Corrective Maintenance visits to customer sites physically or remotely.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain equipment, servers, gateways, switches, and endpoints.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolve user-reported issues, and conduct training sessions to enhance their understanding of systems.
- Document system configurations, network diagrams, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
Key skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field with 1 to 3 years of experience
- Working knowledge of Linux and Asterisk. ability to read/understand simple shell scripts, familiarity with common Linux commands, filesystem/user/process concepts.
- Basic understanding of networks. Ability to do very basic network diagnostics and maintenance.
- Knowledge of telephony systems, including VoIP, SIP, and digital/analog endpoints.
- Understanding of IP networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, and routing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Good Communication, High Motivated, and Independent.
- Fast Learner and detail-oriented. Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
