GMOS World is looking for capable and ambitious Marine Engineers to join our growing Technical supervision team in Dehradun, supporting the operation of LPG carriers / Tankers. This is an excellent shore-career opportunity for an LPG-experienced engineer who wants to develop into a well-rounded technical management professional.
The Role
You will work closely with our Senior Technical Director and Management, supporting the technical operations, reliability, safety and commercial performance of LPG vessels under our oversight.
Responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day technical monitoring of LPG vessels
- Technical budgets, OPEX monitoring and purchase reviews
- Class, Flag and statutory compliance
- Technical inspections and vessel visits
- Supporting owners on technical and operational decisions
- Coordination with Masters, Chief Engineers, managers, yards and service providers
- Performance reporting and continuous improvement
Regular travel to vessels, shipyards and international locations will form part of the role.
Who We Are Looking For
Minimum requirement:
- Marine Engineer with substantial sailing experience on LPG / gas carriers
- Chief Engineer or experienced Second Engineer with Class 1
- Strong understanding of LPG vessel machinery, cargo-related systems and technical
- Commercial mindset and willingness to learn
Previous shore-based superintendent experience is welcome but not essential. Strong sailing engineers looking to make the right transition ashore are encouraged to apply.
