Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Technical Superintendent / Base Manager for Offshore Vessel - DSV. The role entails overseeing vessel operations, ensuring vessel compliance with maritime regulations, managing maintenance tasks, coordinating inspections, and ensuring effective ship management. The candidate will also work closely with the engineering team to maintain operational efficiency and performance of the vessel.
Qualifications
Candidate should have DSV Sailing Experience with MEO Class 1 Certification
Overall technical management of DSV ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations
Monitor and enforce PMS with zero overdue for critical equipment
Ensure reliability of DP systems, thrusters, power generation, UPS & batteries
Oversee saturation diving systems (chambers, bell, LARS, gas systems)
Coordinate repairs, breakdowns, and emergency troubleshooting
Plan and execute dry dockings, major overhauls, and upgrades
Ensure compliance with class/flag (e.g., ABS / DNV) and client standards (e.g., Saudi Aramco)
Manage technical budgets, spares, and cost control
Supervise and guide Chief Engineer, 2/E, and ETO
Review technical reports, failures, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA)
Liaise between vessel, office, vendors, and clients
Ensure strict adherence to safety, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems
