Technical Specialist - Reliability & Automation
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Designs, develops, and maintains automation solutions (test framework, dashboards, and tools) to enable reliability and performance measurement, monitoring, and actionable insights into issues and anomalies.
- Owns domain-driven automation coverage and defines non-functional test strategies to ensure system reliability and performance through effective automated testing.
- Mentors and guides junior team members in the design and implementation of the solutions.
- Collaborates with the Test Automation Architect to explore and integrate AI-driven enhancements for test frameworks, analytics, and root-cause insights.
- Applies advanced testing techniques, including fault injection, concurrency, and stress testing, to identify critical reliability issues as required.
- Analyzes system-level impacts from feature-level dFMEAs and, in collaboration with the Test Architect, translates failure modes into targeted test scenarios, system-level designs, and automation solutions.
- Monitors field reliability issues and works with the Test Architect to continuously improve test strategies, coverage, and reliability-focused validation.
- Utilizes defect RCA findings and customer issue insights (e.g., defects, MREye) to strengthen integration test scenarios and expand coverage across relevant layers and test categories.
- Contributes to broader organizational quality improvement initiatives.
Skills
- B.E./Master’s degree in computer science/software/information technology with 6–8 years of experience in software development and design.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, design patterns and SOLID design principles
- Strong programming experience in C#, Python
- Solid understanding of OS fundamentals, threading, and memory management.
- Good understanding of Database concepts and working knowledge of SQL.
- Foundational knowledge of reliability and performance testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Windows internals and performance/debugging tools.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work across diverse teams
- Continuous improvement mindset driven by Defect RCA and customer Issue insights.
How We Work Together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
