Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with manufacturing purchase and planning experience to support sourcing, vendor coordination, ERP operations, and production planning activities.
This role requires technical understanding of machining processes and engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and develop vendors for machined and manufactured components
- Understand and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Create and manage item masters, BOMs, vendor records, and pricing in ERP (Odoo)
- Release and track Purchase Orders & Work Orders
- Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
- Support production planning and material requirement tracking
- Coordinate with Production, QA, and Stores
- Maintain accurate procurement and supply chain documentation
Required Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 2–4 years of experience in Purchase / Planning / Supply Chain (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Ability to understand machining processes (turning, milling, diecasting, plating)
- ERP exposure preferred (Odoo/SAP/Oracle or similar systems)
- Basic negotiation and vendor coordination skills
- Proficiency in English and Malayalam
