Job Position Summary -
Accountable for monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining the airworthiness of the aircraft pertaining to Avionics systems.
Key responsibilities -
1. Handling various Avionics related activities in Technical Services.
2. Liaisons with Boeing for set-up of ONS e-enabling LSAP Library and software management.
3. Management of fleet software configuration using data from ONS/CEOD and other OEM sources.
4. Provide necessary technical support for Induction of new aircraft into fleet and their Entry into Service.
5. Liaison with outside agencies for Registration of ELT, WPC License, SELCAL coding etc.
6. Assist MCC/Defect Cell/Maintenance personnel by providing guidance for carrying out necessary troubleshooting, SB compliance, special maintenance procedures etc. as required, to reduce delays, MELs, Pilot Reports etc.
7. Review of Aircraft defects and delays and major checks findings for improvements.
8. Coordinate with the aircraft system manufacturers, OEMs etc to solve various in-service issues and action recommendations accordingly.
9. Evaluate reliability related inputs from maintenance, Reliability section & Engineering Quality and Participate in monthly reliability review meeting and provide Recommendations to initiate appropriate action to improve reliability.
10. Evaluation of Technical Documents such as AD/ SB/ SL etc.
11. Participate in AD meeting, Modification Committee, Hangar check planning meeting etc and provide inputs/recommendations.
12. Preparation and Review of EOs and other aircraft repair and modification related forms and functions.
13. Preparation and Review of Technical Circulars (TC) and Maintenance Tips etc.as required, to appraise maintenance personnel of various in-service issues & solutions.
14. Development & evaluation of Avionics related in-house/local tools & equipment & process for approval by Quality Manager.
15. Conducting/Participating mandatory meeting as required with all stake holders as per CAME and other engineering manuals.
16. Ensure Safety Management System is incorporated in all the functional areas.
17. Authoring procedures related to the functional areas.
18. Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Planning Manager & CAM
Desired Qualification / certifications -
B.E/B.Tech in Aeronautical or AME Diploma
