Service Engineer

Position Overview

The Service Engineer is responsible for installation, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Laser/Automation Machinery. The role focuses on ensuring maximum uptime of machines, delivering timely service support, and maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Maintenance

• Install, configure, and test CNC Router/Fiber Laser/Laser Engraver/Cutting machines at client sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure smooth and reliable machine performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.

Technical Support

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Resolve breakdowns and service requests within defined timelines.
• Assist customers with daily operation procedures and basic troubleshooting.

Customer Handling

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.
• Ensure clear communication regarding service activities and recommendations.
• Train operators on machine usage, safety protocols, and maintenance best practices.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain service reports, job cards, and maintenance logs.
• Update service software/CRM after every service visit.
• Report recurring issues and suggest improvements to the technical team.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of Fiber Laser/Laser Engraver/Cutting machines technology.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
• Familiarity with calibration, color management, and print quality settings.
• Good communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage field assignments efficiently.

Education & Experience

• Diploma / Degree in Printing, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical.
• 0 to 5 years of experience in servicing CNC/Fiber Laser/Laser Engraver/Cutting machines.
• Experience in major Fiber Laser/Laser Engraver/Cutting machine brands is an added advantage.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel for service tasks.
• Valid driving license preferred.
• Strong problem-solving attitude and commitment to service quality.
