Job Overview
We are seeking a technically skilled Service Engineer - Mechanical responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. The role focuses on servicing industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and associated process systems across various industries.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on field experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to deliver reliable and timely service support to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, and servicing of mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, and heat exchangers
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance at customer sites
- Diagnose faults and provide effective technical solutions
- Coordinate with internal engineering and application teams for issue resolution
- Conduct site inspections and maintain detailed service reports and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Support performance improvement and reliability of customer equipment
- Assist in spare parts identification and service-related proposals
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of pumps, valves, and heat exchangers
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices, troubleshooting, and equipment handling
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, drawings, and technical documents
- Basic understanding of industrial process systems
- Familiarity with safety standards and site practices
- Good communication and reporting skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in servicing industrial mechanical equipment
- Experience in field service or maintenance roles preferred
- Willingness to travel for site assignments
