About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Technical SEO Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and executing the technical search strategy for a portfolio of regional clients. Your primary focus will be on enhancing website crawlability, indexing, site performance, and organic growth through technical SEO best practices. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, content teams, and account managers to implement scalable solutions that improve search engine visibility and user experience. This role is scoped as an individual contributor at a senior specialist level, with or without direct client interaction, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEO professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex SEO concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 to 6+ years of experience in SEO, with a strong emphasis on technical SEO. Experience working in agency environments or on large, complex websites is highly valued. Proficiency with crawling and auditing tools such as Screaming Frog, and a solid understanding of Google Search Console, GA4, and Looker Studio is essential. Candidates should have a working knowledge of web fundamentals including HTML, CSS, and HTTP protocols, as well as familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like React, Next.js, Vue, or Nuxt, and their respective rendering modes. Knowledge of CDNs and edge platforms, and how to leverage them for SEO purposes, is also important. Strong analytical skills to improve Core Web Vitals, set performance guardrails, and troubleshoot technical issues are required. Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach to documentation and project management are critical for success in this role. Candidates should demonstrate confidence in client-facing interactions, including workshops, presentations, and roadmap discussions. Certifications in SEO or related fields are a plus, but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include defining pragmatic technical SEO roadmaps aligned with client business goals across the APAC region, translating SEO requirements into actionable tasks, and championing an experimentation mindset to communicate impact effectively. You will conduct comprehensive technical audits covering crawl diagnostics, indexation, internal linking, schema markup, canonicals, robots directives, sitemaps, pagination, and duplicate handling. Diagnosing and resolving JavaScript SEO challenges across various rendering approaches is essential, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions. Designing technical strategies for large, multilingual, and multi-market sites, including hreflang implementation, regional content logic, URL structuring, and parameter governance, will be part of your core duties. You will lead low-risk site migrations and re-platforming efforts, ensuring minimal disruption and clear recovery plans. Collaborating with engineering teams to improve site performance, Core Web Vitals, and UX metrics such as LCP, INP, and CLS is crucial. You will develop measurement frameworks to link SEO initiatives to analytics metrics, build dashboards for reporting, and establish monitoring systems for crawl errors, index anomalies, and ranking fluctuations. Utilizing industry tools like Screaming Frog, PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, and others to streamline processes and automate repetitive checks will be part of your daily workflow. Additionally, working closely with developers, content teams, and digital PR professionals to align technical foundations with content strategies is vital. You will also contribute to setting standards, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring governance, risk management, and compliance policies are adhered to, including robots.txt management, security best practices, and documentation procedures.
