The Technical Sales support will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting food ingredient applications within assigned categories. The role involves hands-on formulation, conducting application trials, providing technical support to sales and customers, and ensuring successful implementation of ingredient solutions in customer products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development & Application Support
- Develop and optimize formulations for bakery, dairy, and emulsifier-based products.
- Conduct lab and pilot-scale trials to evaluate ingredient performance.
- Support new ingredient launches by creating and demonstrating application concepts.
- Provide technical solutions to customer challenges in formulation or processing.
2. Customer & Sales Support
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable ingredient solutions.
- Conduct customer trials, presentations, and demonstrations.
- Address technical queries and assist customers with recipe improvements or product stabilization.
3. Innovation & Market Insights
- Track market trends, innovations, and competitor products in bakery, dairy, and emulsifier segments.
- Identify opportunities for new product or blend development.
- Work closely with the R&D and marketing teams to translate insights into actionable concepts.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of formulations, trials, and technical reports.
- Ensure formulations meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Prepare technical literature and application notes for internal and customer use.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, or related discipline.
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in bakery, dairy, or emulsifier product development or technical support.
- Strong understanding of functional ingredients such as emulsifiers, stabilizers, fats, enzymes, and proteins.
- Hands-on experience with bakery and dairy processing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer interaction skills.
