Technical Sales Specialist – Life Science & Bioprocess Solutions
Location: Gujarat & Maharashtra (West)
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales and business development for the assigned product portfolio.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, customer visits, networking, and market development.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order closure.
- Build strong relationships with researchers, scientists, procurement teams, and senior decision-makers.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Prepare techno-commercial quotations and proposals.
- Follow up on quotations, tenders, purchase orders, and payment collections.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline, prepare sales forecasts, and achieve assigned revenue targets.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and customer workshops.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelors/Master in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences or a related field.
- MBA is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in scientific equipment, laboratory instruments, bioprocess solutions, or life science sales.
- Proven ability to generate business and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively in assigned territory
Preferred Skills
- Experience in B2B scientific equipment sales.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO/CDMO, or research markets.
- Experience in preparing techno-commercial quotations and proposals.
- Understanding of procurement processes, tender business, and institutional purchasing.
- Working knowledge of Incoterms, commercial terms, and order execution.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, sales reporting, and pipeline management.
- Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
