Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Technical Sales Manager for the Hyderabad, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing sales of life science and diagnostic technologies by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic account plans, and building strong relationships with customers in academia, healthcare, and industry. Day-to-day activities include conducting customer visits and product presentations, understanding customer workflows and technical requirements, and recommending solutions from ATCG India’s portfolio that are appropriate for each customer. The role involves coordinating product demonstrations, proof-of-concept evaluations, and technical discussions in collaboration with internal application specialists and technology partners. The Technical Sales Manager will also manage the sales pipeline and forecasts, prepare proposals and quotations, support tender processes, and ensure excellent post-sales follow-up and customer satisfaction in the Chandigarh region.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Technical Sales and Sales, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, build pipelines, and close deals in scientific or technical domains.
- Experience in Account Management, including relationship-building, territory planning, and revenue growth within assigned customer segments or regions.
- Ability to provide basic Technical Support and solution guidance in life sciences or diagnostics, working closely with application and service teams when needed.
- Proven Customer Service capabilities, including responsive communication, issue resolution, and a customer-centric approach to long-term partnership building.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field; an MBA in Marketing or Sales is an advantage.
- Prior field sales experience in life science research tools, diagnostics, or analytical instruments is strongly preferred.
