Role Definition
The Sales Manager – Technical Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new customers and managing key accounts in engineering and manufacturing industries. The role requires strong technical understanding of production processes and product costing to evaluate RFQs, prepare techno-commercial quotations, and convert opportunities into profitable orders. The role works closely with internal teams to ensure technically feasible solutions, competitive pricing, and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and developing new customers in manufacturing sectors
- Generate qualified leads through industry networks, referrals, digital platforms, and trade exhibitions.
- Manage key accounts and maintain long-term relationships with strategic customers.
- Review RFQs, engineering drawings, and technical specifications received from customers.
- Coordinate with production and costing teams to prepare accurate and competitive quotations.
- Ensure technical feasibility and profitability before submitting proposals.
- Work closely with production, design, quality, and supply chain teams for smooth order execution
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
- Monitor industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering
- 8 – 12 years of total experience in manufacturing or engineering industries
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Production / Manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience in product costing, RFQ evaluation, and quotation preparation
- Experience working with engineering customers, OEMs, or industrial clients is preferred
