Role Overview
This role is responsible for driving technical sales of capital equipment and consumables within the semiconductor industry. The position involves engaging with customers, understanding application requirements, and delivering commercially viable solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute sales plans aligned with defined revenue targets
- Identify opportunities within semiconductor manufacturing and related segments
- Track market trends, customer demand, and competitor positioning
- Customer Engagement
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Understand customer applications, process requirements, and business needs
- Provide solution-oriented discussions aligned with technical and commercial aspects
- Technical Sales & Solutioning
- Present and explain capital equipment and consumable solutions
- Handle technical discussions, product positioning, and comparative analysis
- Work closely with internal engineering teams for solution alignment
- Proposal & Commercial Management
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals based on customer requirements
- Support pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and order closure
- Ensure alignment with internal approval processes and margin guidelines
- Sales Operations & Reporting
- Maintain sales pipeline, forecasts, and account plans
- Update CRM systems with customer interactions and opportunity status
- Provide periodic sales reports and market feedback
- Cross-functional Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering, service, and application teams
- Support customer onboarding and post-sales engagement where required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field)
- MBA (optional)
- 10+ years of experience in technical sales within the semiconductor industry
- Experience in selling capital equipment and/or consumables
Mandatory Skills
- Semiconductor industry sales experience
- Capital equipment sales (Semicon / Electronics manufacturing)
- Consumables sales exposure (related to semiconductor processes)
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes
- Technical sales / application-based selling approach
- Experience handling OEMs / fabs / semiconductor customers
- Techno-commercial proposal preparation
- Client relationship management with decision-makers
- Negotiation and deal closure experience
- CRM usage and sales forecasting
