Job Description: Technical Sales Executive/ BDE
Location: Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Pune, Delhi

Role Summary
The Technical Sales Executive / BDE will be responsible for independently managing sales and business development activities within the assigned territory. The role requires building strong relationships with research institutes, hospitals, laboratories, universities, and pharmaceutical companies while driving revenue growth through the promotion and sale of biotechnology and life science products.
The position is field-intensive and requires regular client interaction, technical discussions, product demonstrations, and the ability to manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order closure and post-sales coordination.
Eligibility Criteria
• B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech / M.Tech in Life Sciences / Biotechnology (Correspondence courses not preferred)
• Willingness to undertake extensive and regular field travel
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
• Independently manage and develop sales within the assigned territory
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in research institutes, hospitals, diagnostic labs, pharma companies, and universities
• Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue objectives
• Generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert them into customers
• Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers and research professionals
Client Engagement & Technical Support
• Conduct client meetings, technical discussions, and product presentations
• Deliver product demonstrations and application discussions when required
• Understand customer research requirements and recommend suitable products or solutions
• Provide pre-sales technical consultation and post-sales coordination
Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline, client database, and visit reports
• Provide market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback to management
Field Activity & Market Development
• Undertake extensive field travel (minimum 20 days per month) within the assigned region
• Conduct regular visits to universities, research labs, hospitals, and biotech companies
• Represent the company at scientific exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and promotional events
• Identify potential distribution or collaboration opportunities within the region
Coordination & Reporting
• Coordinate internally with procurement, logistics, and management teams for order processing
• Track order status and ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction
• Submit weekly and monthly sales reports, market updates, and forecasting data
• Participate in sales review meetings and strategic planning discussions
Skills & Competencies
• Strong technical understanding of life science or biotechnology products
• Proven ability in sales, negotiation, and relationship management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage territory-level responsibilities
• Strong networking capability within research and scientific communities
• Basic proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and sales reporting
