Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who can combine strong geotechnical
engineering knowledge with business development capabilities.
This role involves managing client relationships, driving sales growth, and offering technical
solutions tailored to project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
πΉ Business Development & Sales Strategy
β Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for SGES India
projects
β Identify, engage, and convert potential clients into long-term business opportunities
β Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
β Understand client requirements and propose tailored geotechnical solutions
πΉ Client Relationship Management
β Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across sectors
β Conduct regular meetings, technical discussions, and presentations
β Act as the primary point of contact for all technical sales interactions
β Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term engagement
πΉ Technical Support & Solution Development
β Provide technical expertise and solution-based recommendations to clients
β Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for proposal development
β Prepare technical documentation, case studies, and presentations
β Support client discussions with engineering insights and field experience
πΉ Market Research & Growth Opportunities
β Track industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs
β Identify new business opportunities and emerging segments
β Provide insights to strengthen SGES market positioning in India
πΉ Reporting & Coordination
β Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and business updates
β Coordinate with internal engineering and project teams for execution
β Ensure smooth transition from sales to project delivery
What Weβre Looking For
π Education
β Bachelorβs degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
π Experience
β Minimum 5 years in technical sales
β Strong preference for geotechnical, civil, or infrastructure engineering domain
β Proven experience in achieving sales targets in Indian infrastructure projects
π§ Technical Knowledge
β Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering concepts and field applications
β Familiarity with Indian infrastructure standards and project execution processes
π¬ Communication Skills
β Excellent verbal and written communication in English
β Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders
β Personal Attributes
β Self-motivated, target-driven, and proactive
β Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
β Willingness to travel across India as required
Preferred Candidate Profile
β Experience handling large-scale infrastructure or geotechnical sales projects
β Existing network in construction / infrastructure industry
β Prior exposure to geotechnical services or SGES-type solutions will be an added
advantage
