Position Overview
Flow Science India is seeking a Sales Engineer – grow adoption of FLOW-3D across multiple engineering domains including Metal Casting, Water & Environmental flows, and Additive Manufacturing. This role is intended for a CAE software sales professional with strong Multiphysics fundamentals who can engage customers across industries without being limited to a single application area.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
- Drive new business and expansion opportunities for FLOW-3D across multiple industries.
- Drive consistent progress against defined sales objectives through new business development, opportunity management, and long-term customer engagement.
- Manage full sales cycles from prospecting through contract closure, developing strategic account plans and delivering timely forecasts
- Proactively manage assigned accounts to maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and recurring revenue through strategic engagement and renewal management
- Build and maintain relationships with R&D engineers, process engineers, and key executives, positioning Flow Science as a trusted advisor
Technical & Presales Engagement
- Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, webinars, and introductory workshops.
- Position FLOW-3D as a solution for complex Multiphysics flow problems.
- Support trial licenses and proof-of-concept studies with internal technical teams.
- Identify when deeper application expertise is required and coordinate accordingly.
- Represent Flow Science at conferences, seminars, and customer events.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with application engineers, technical support, and HQ teams.
- Share customer feedback and market insights with product development and marketing.
Required Qualifications
Technical Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline
- Strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics, multiphase flows, and general Multiphysics concepts
- Familiarity with CFD / CAE simulation tools (user-side or sales-side).
Sales Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in technical sales of CAE or engineering software
- Proven experience handling long, consultative sales cycles
- Ability to sell across multiple application domains
- Strong communication skills with engineers, managers, and decision-makers
Preferred Qualifications
- • Prior exposure to FLOW-3D or similar CFD software
- • Experience selling into manufacturing, casting, water resources, or additive manufacturing
- • Familiarity with PSUs, private industry, or research institutions in India
