Job Overview
We are seeking a technically strong Sales Engineer responsible for the promotion, sales, and business development of mechanical and instrumentation products and solutions. The portfolio includes valves, pumps, control valves, transmitters, positioners, and field instrumentation systems used across process industries. Experience in technical sales and exposure to industrial clients, especially in Sugar Mills and Distilleries, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage promotion and sales of assigned mechanical and instrumentation products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sugar mills, distilleries, EPC contractors, and industrial customers
- Understand customer requirements and propose appropriate process control and flow solutions in coordination with internal teams
- Support tendering, bidding, and techno-commercial negotiations
- Coordinate with internal teams for technical clarifications and execution support
- Achieve assigned sales targets while tracking market and competitor activities
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of process instrumentation (pressure, flow, level, temperature)
- Knowledge of control valves, actuators, positioners, and flow control systems
- Familiarity with pumps, valves, and industrial applications
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, specifications, and BOQs
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in technical sales of mechanical or instrumentation products
- Experience working with Sugar Mills, Distilleries, or EPC/Process industries preferred
