Job Summary:

The Process Engineer plays a key role in designing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes that ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role focuses on evaluating current systems, developing improved procedures, and driving continuous improvement across the facility. The Process Engineer will also serve as a mentor and technical leader, promoting strong manufacturing practices and supporting a culture of operational excellence.


Job Duties:

· Conduct research and develop new or improved manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.

· Implement, monitor, and maintain process controls for injection molding operations.

· Collaborate closely with the tooling engineering team to optimize mold performance and ensure reliable production.

· Troubleshoot and resolve tooling and process-related issues to minimize downtime and improve consistency.

· Support the design and development of injection molds, automation systems, and fixtures by partnering with tooling and automation engineers to refine design, cavity geometry, and process parameters for maximum efficiency and quality.

· Lead process validation and optimization activities, including DOE studies, process capability analysis, and root-cause investigations, to strengthen process robustness and identify opportunities.

· Serve as subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to customers with design and engineering concerns on ongoing projects.

· Conduct testing and monitor process performance throughout production to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.

· Diagnose and resolve manufacturing process issues to support continuous improvement and operational stability.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

· Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required; a bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.

In lieu of degree, 10+ years’ experience in developing and validating injection molding processes for engineered plastic materials will be considered.

· Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering degree a plus.

· Scientific molding training or certification strongly preferred.

· Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.

· Solid understanding of molding principles, including material selection, mold design, injection molding processes, and process optimization techniques

· Demonstrated skills in communication, project management, problem-solving, time management, collaboration, and attention to detail.

· Comprehensive knowledge of the injection molding process and hands-on experience with molding equipment, including robotics.

· Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Power Point. Excel, and related software tools.

· Ability to communicate effectively in English.


Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend and walk a minimum of eight (8) hours.

• Ability to read, write and communicate in fluent English.

• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work occasionally in small, confined spaces


Position Type:

This is a full-time, exempt position.


Travel:

Minimal travel may be expected.
