We need a leader who brings world-class project management discipline to everything we do—client delivery, internal initiatives, business development, hiring, capability building—everything. This is a role where your decisions have direct, visible impact. You work with the CEO. You set the delivery standard. You build the systems that the rest of the organization runs on. At a large enterprise, you might manage a slice. Here, you build the whole thing.
You will partner with our Director of Services Delivery and senior technical leads as a peer, earning trust through competence, consistency, and servant leadership. You will own both client delivery and internal strategic initiatives, measuring what matters and ensuring the company grows.

TechGrit is building an AI-native engineering organization. We are actively integrating AI across every phase of the software development lifecycle—from discovery and estimation to code generation, testing, and deployment. We are adapting fast to how AI is reshaping software services, and we expect everyone on our team to be on this journey with us. For this role, that means either you are already using AI tools daily in your work (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar), or you can show us you are genuinely committed to getting there. THE MANDATE
You will bring project management fundamentals to every corner of TechGrit’s operations. Your job is to ensure that nothing important happens without structure, visibility, and accountability.
- Client Delivery Excellence
- Own the delivery lifecycle from SOW to go-live for assigned client engagements.
- Be the technical point of contact who can hold deep conversations with clients about architecture, trade-offs, and delivery sequencing.
- Break down ambiguous requirements into structured backlogs, delivery phases, and measurable milestones.
- Track budget, scope, timeline, and quality. Flag variances early with proposed corrective actions—not just problems.
- Conduct project retrospectives and convert learnings into repeatable organizational process improvements.
- Leverage AI tools and AI-accelerated workflows to compress delivery timelines and improve output quality.
- Internal Strategic Initiatives
Own and manage internal initiatives with the same rigor as client projects: defined scope, milestones, sponsors, and success criteria.
Examples: AI-First Engineer Certification programs, process automation rollouts, hiring sprints, marketing campaigns, capability building, operational transformation.
- Map every active initiative (client and internal) to TechGrit’s strategic pillars. If it doesn’t map, question why it exists.
- Build and maintain a single source of truth for all in-flight work across the organization.
- Run structured leadership reviews. No vague updates. Data, decisions, blockers, actions.
- Metrics, Measurement & Growth
- Define and track delivery metrics: on-time rate, budget variance, velocity, defect density, client satisfaction.
- Track organizational OKRs and ensure teams are making measurable progress—not just staying busy.
- Provide leadership with a clear, data-driven view of operational health at all times.
- Identify patterns across projects (scope creep, estimation gaps, resource bottlenecks) and drive systemic fixes.
- Contribute to growth by ensuring delivery excellence drives client retention and expansion.
- AI-Native Delivery Practices
- Champion the adoption of AI tools across the engineering team’s daily workflow.
- Understand how AI-assisted development changes estimation, sprint planning, code review, and QA processes.
- Track and report on AI-driven productivity improvements.
- Stay current on emerging AI tools and practices. Bring new ideas. Experiment. Share what works.
- If you’re early in your AI journey: commit to a focused ramp where you actively use AI tools daily and bring that learning into how you manage delivery.
- Leadership & Team Enablement
- Work alongside senior technical leads as a peer—removing blockers, improving processes, and driving accountability.
- Earn respect through preparation, follow-through, and genuine care for the team’s success.
- Be the calm, level-headed presence when things go sideways.
- Coach team members on structured thinking, communication, and ownership.
- Create an environment where people embrace structure because they see the value—not because they’re told to.
- Technical Credibility (Hands-On)
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and code review processes.
- Understand modern web/backend technologies, cloud platforms, APIs, CI/CD, and DevOps well enough to hold a substantive opinion.
- Support solutioning and technical presentations for prospects and clients alongside leadership and technical leads.
What You Bring
Non-Negotiable
- 7+ years in technology roles with at least 2 years owning delivery end-to-end (not just executing tasks within someone else’s project).
- PM discipline is in your DNA: you naturally think in work breakdown structures, critical paths, risk matrices, and stakeholder management.
- Client-facing communication skills. You can translate between business needs and technical execution without losing either audience.
- Servant leadership orientation. You lead by earning trust, not by pulling rank.
- Strong written and verbal English communication. You will interact with US-based clients and leadership daily.
- Comfort working directly with a CEO in a fast-moving, high-expectation environment.
- AI readiness: Either you are already using AI tools in your daily work, OR you can demonstrate genuine momentum toward becoming AI-native—with evidence of what you’ve started, not just intent.
Highly Valued
- Strong academic foundation from a top engineering or management institution. We value the rigor and standard that comes with a premier education.
- Experience in a services/consulting environment. You understand utilization, margins, SOWs, and change orders.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent (we care about the discipline, not the letters).
- Hands-on experience building or managing projects that leverage AI/ML technologies.
- Experience managing distributed teams across US and India time zones.
- Background in HealthTech, FinTech, or ConstructionTech verticals.
