- About the Role: We are stock market technology firm developing trading systems, exchange connectivity platforms, and other financial technology solutions. We are looking for a Software Development Team Lead / Technical Project Manager who can bridge the gap between our business team and software development team of 7–8 skilled developers.
- This role involves coordinating development tasks, translating business requirements into actionable technical goals, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of software modules. Key Responsibilities: • Act as the primary liaison between the business / trading team and the software development team. • Understand business and trading requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications. • Supervise daily activities of the software development team (C++, Python, backend). • Plan, allocate, and monitor tasks to ensure on-time project delivery. • Evaluate team performance, identify training or skill gaps, and guide improvement. • Review and validate the technical feasibility of new features or modules before development. • Conduct weekly review meetings with the development team and report progress to management. • Ensure code quality, documentation, and version control practices are maintained. • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new developers. • Collaborate with the infrastructure and trading desk teams to align development with business priorities. Desired Skills & Competencies: • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile project management. • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Hands-on experience with project tracking tools (JIRA, Trello, ClickUp, or similar). • Good understanding of financial markets, exchange APIs, or trading systems is preferred. • Basic exposure to C++ / Python or experience managing such development teams. • Excellent leadership, coordination, and performance management abilities. • Problem-solving attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. • 2–3+ years of relevant experience in software development, project coordination, or team leadership. • Prior experience in financial technology / trading / exchange platforms will be an added advantage.
