Job Description: Technical Project Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to be the driving force behind the successful delivery of our client projects.
Role:
As a Technical Project Manager, you will be the primary link between our engineering teams in India and our clients in the US. You will be responsible for solutioning, planning, executing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, while ensuring the highest level of technical quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Delivery
- Lead the planning and implementation of complex, AI-driven and digital engineering projects (e.g., workflow automation, Agentic AI based applications etc).
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and US clients. Create user stories and scrum planning.
- Develop full-scale project plans, schedules, and communication documents, managing all project stakeholders.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Conduct project retrospectives and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the single point of contact for US-based clients, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and building strong, trusting relationships.
- Facilitate effective communication across geographic and cultural boundaries between the client, sales, and engineering teams.
- Present proposals, progress reports, and project results to technical and non-technical audiences, including client executives.
Technical Oversight & Team Leadership
- Work closely with Engineering Director/ Architect to ensure the technical approach and architecture aligns with client requirements and best practices.
- Understand the new feature releases and use of AI in the modern tech stack used in the projects to challenge estimates and drive technical excellence.
- Provide direction and support to the project team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and tools to perform their tasks.
- Employ best practices, utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies, to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.
Financial & Resource Management
- Oversee project budgets, tracking expenditure and working to keep projects within financial constraints.
- Forecast resource needs and manage capacity planning for your assigned projects.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a dedicated technical project management role for an IT services company.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering multiple concurrent projects for US/North American clients.
- Experience managing projects that involve Servicenow (or any other workflow automation platform), GenAI/ Agentic AI, Cloud-native applications, or Digital Transformation.
- Technical Skills:
- Any programming and database skills is must. Preferably hands-on
- Familiarity with modern software development life cycles (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is must.
- Communication & Soft Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a native-level fluency in English, essential for effective communication with US clients.
- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively across different time zones (India and US).
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Servicenow Zurich experience in workflow automation would be most preferred. Knowledge of other modules of Servicenow such as SPM, PPM, Process Miner, Now Assist, Integration hub etc.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist, AWS/Azure/GCP Project Management or Technical certification).
- Experience with advanced tools for project management, collaboration, and reporting (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project).
