Job Title: IT Project Coordinator
Department: Information Technology / Project Management
Reports To: Project Manager / Delivery Manager
Job Summary
The IT Project Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects by coordinating tasks, schedules, resources, and communication between stakeholders. This role ensures projects stay on track by monitoring progress, maintaining documentation, organizing meetings, and assisting the project manager in delivering projects on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and task trackers.
- Coordinate with developers, designers, QA teams, vendors, and clients to ensure timely project execution.
- Organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes and action items.
- Track project progress and follow up on pending tasks with team members.
- Maintain project documentation, including requirements, status reports, risk logs, and change requests.
- Monitor project risks and escalate issues to the Project Manager when necessary.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and agreed timelines.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and support deployment activities.
- Assist in resource allocation and workload planning.
- Support process improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to project management best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT project coordination or project management support.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, ClickUp, or Microsoft Project.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
