Job details:
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager who has lived the startup chaos and learned how to turn it into a well-oiled delivery machine. At Cubiccode, you’ll own the sprint cadence and delivery rhythm across engineering, working at the intersection of Design, Product, and Tech to make sure the right things get built, on time, and with minimal friction.
This isn’t a clipboard-and-standups role—we need someone who understands technical trade-offs, can call out risks before they become fires, and keeps multiple cross-functional workstreams moving in lockstep.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own and drive the end-to-end sprint lifecycle—sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate delivery across Engineering, Design, Product, and QA to ensure features ship on schedule and at quality.
- Build and maintain a predictable release cadence, tracking velocity, burndown, and delivery health metrics.
- Proactively identify blockers, dependencies, and risks across workstreams—and resolve them before they stall delivery.
- Act as the connective tissue between Product, Design, and Engineering—ensuring alignment on priorities, scope, and timelines.
- Drive clarity in ambiguous situations: break down large initiatives into well-scoped, deliverable milestones.
- Facilitate trade-off conversations between speed, scope, and quality with engineering leads and product managers.
- Establish and continuously improve delivery processes, tooling, and rituals that scale with the team.
- Maintain transparent status reporting and delivery dashboards for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and delivery discipline without becoming bureaucratic.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5 years of experience in a TPM, Scrum Master, or Delivery Manager role—preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Proven track record of bringing order to chaos: taking a team from ad-hoc delivery to a structured, predictable sprint cadence.
- Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks, with the judgment to adapt them pragmatically to startup realities.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally with Design, Product, and Engineering teams, managing competing priorities with clarity and composure.
- Excellent stakeholder communication—you can translate engineering timelines into business language and vice versa.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Linear, Confluence, Notion, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable working with delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, lead time, sprint burndown) to drive decisions.
- Experience managing dependencies and delivery risks across multiple parallel workstreams.
- A bias for action—you don’t wait for problems to surface; you hunt them down and fix them.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) – Scrum Alliance
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM I / PSM II) – Scrum.org
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) – Project Management Institute
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master – Scaled Agile
- Certified Agile Project Manager (IAPM) or equivalent
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience working in fintech, blockchain, or maritime-tech domains.
- Technical background or prior experience as a software engineer—enough to understand architectural discussions and trade-offs.
- Experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, and roadmap-level program management.
- Familiarity with DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and release management processes.
- Experience setting up delivery processes from scratch in an early-stage company.
