- Role & Responsibilities
- Design and development of insurance product systems (Property, Engineering, Marine & Misc LOB etc.) on various platforms ensuring it is modular / scalable & support multiline business with end to end solution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs & translate them into functional requirements.
- Define business requirements (BRD) and functional requirements (FRD) for system development and enhancement.
- Document product features workflows & compliance requirements.
- Analyze current products / systems / processes & recommend improvements for efficiency & customer experience.
- Work closely with IT, developers, and vendors to map insurance workflows into product systems / portal / policy administration systems.
- Develop test cases & coordinate UAT to verify functionality meets all initial requirements.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting rules, claims, and anti-fraud measures within system rules.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product gaps and emerging trends.
- Prepare reports, presentations & documentation for senior management / stakeholders.
What We Expect
Education: Graduate/PG/MBA – Preferably with Graduate in Engineering / Technical Domain.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in Commercial Underwriting Product Development & System Integration. Should be a Specialist who will lead the end-to-end development, enhancement, and implementation of non-motor commercial products in general insurance.
Skills: Strong understanding of General Insurance products (Property, Engineering , Marine & MIsc) and regulatory requirements.
Mindset:
- Proven experience in digital product strategy, API integration, and insurance systems.
- Knowledge of data analytics machine learning & AI in insurance .
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
