Technical Product Manager, Frontend Applications

Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) who can bridge business requirements, user experience, and technical execution for web and mobile frontend applications. This role requires strong Agile Scrum Master capabilities, deep business analysis skills, and the ability to work across frontend and backend teams to define clear, consumable API contracts and highly detailed product stories.
The ideal candidate understands the technical complexities of modern web and mobile applications and can translate them into clear documentation and granular user stories that enable engineering teams to deliver efficiently and with high quality.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Business Analysis
- Own and manage the product backlog for web and mobile frontend applications.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate requirements into high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.
- Define product scope, prioritize initiatives, and align delivery to business goals, timelines, and KPIs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define roadmaps, releases, and MVP scope.
Agile & Scrum Master Responsibilities (Must Have)
- Serve as a Scrum Master, facilitating all Agile Scrum ceremonies:
- Sprint planning
- Daily stand-ups
- Sprint reviews
- Backlog Refinements
- Retrospectives
- Ensure Agile best practices are followed and continuously improved.
- Remove impediments and manage risks that affect delivery timelines.
- Promote transparency, collaboration, and accountability within the Agile team.
Web & Mobile Frontend Focus (Must Have)
- Act as the primary product partner for frontend engineering teams (web and mobile).
- Work closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and QA to ensure intuitive and performant user experiences.
- Understand mobile (iOS/Android) and web application technical constraints and design considerations.
- Validate frontend functionality and ensure alignment with business and customer needs.
API & Backend Integration Ownership
- Create detailed documentation for API integrations consumed by web and mobile frontend applications.
- Define and document API contracts by collaborating closely with backend engineers and system stakeholders.
- Ensure API contracts clearly specify request/response models, error handling, performance expectations, and versioning.
- Act as a translator between frontend and backend teams, ensuring shared understanding and smooth integration.
- Participate in API design discussions to identify dependencies, risks, and integration impacts early.
Technical Story Writing & Execution
- Develop granular, technically detailed user stories that clearly communicate:
- Functional behavior
- Edge cases
- Integration points
- Technical constraints
- Ensure stories are written at a level that enables engineers to estimate and implement with minimal rework.
- Validate acceptance criteria through demos, testing, and sprint reviews.
- Proactively identify gaps, assumptions, and technical risks in requirements.
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst for digital products.
- Scrum Master experience with solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong background as a Business Analyst supporting web and mobile frontend applications.
- Hands-on experience writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Experience collaborating with frontend and backend engineering teams, including API-driven architectures.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice To Have Qualifications
- Basic programming or technical knowledge (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, mobile app concepts).
- Prior Product Management experience, including ownership of product vision and roadmaps.
- Familiarity with API standards, RESTful services, and integration patterns.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Swagger/OpenAPI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale, consumer-facing, or mobile-first environments.
