BACKROUND
In a context of strong development, Dedienne Aerospace India wishes to integrate very soon a Technical Support Engineer with experience in machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and welding to join our team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the responsibility of Head of New Toolings you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes and provide technical support to our vendors in their machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and welding operations. The role requires a focus on improving process efficiency, ensuring product quality, supporting production goals, and maintaining accurate technical data and manufacturing methods in ERP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these areas and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
To do this, you will be required to:
Process Optimization
- Analyse and improve machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and welding processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Understanding of 3D printed technologies and their application in process optimization.
Technical Method Management in ERP
- Update and maintain technical method data in ERP.
- Create new products/items in ERP in line with engineering and manufacturing requirements.
- Create and update routings in ERP.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of technical and manufacturing data in ERP.
Quality Assurance / Quality Control
- Implement, and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, vendor outputs, and final products.
- Identify non-conformities, support root cause analysis, and follow up corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor product quality performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve quality issues and maintain compliance with requirements.
Vendor and Supplier Management
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and components.
- Address and resolve any issues related to material quality or delivery.
Project Management
- Lead and support projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Technical Support
- Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
- Assist in the design and implementation of tooling and fixtures.
- Work closely with the engineering team in Head office to optimize and localise the Bought-Out Items on the products for the Design to Cost project
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of process changes, quality issues, technical method updates, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and present reports on manufacturing performance, quality performance, and improvement initiatives.
PROFILE
- Experience : Minimum 3-4 years of experience in similar roles, with a minimum of 5-6 years of overall experience in manufacturing engineering or related technical roles, with a focus on machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and welding.
- Education : A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering field is required.
- You have a very good knowledge and understanding of different manufacturing processes (machining, welding, heat treatment, surface treatment, painting, etc)
- Capable of reading drawings and understanding different standards.
- You like working in a team and have strong interpersonal skills: listening, communication and adaptation.
- You have a fluent level of English allowing you to read documents and participate in technical discussions without any issues. Spoken knowledge of other Indian languages like Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, etc, will be an advantage.

Education : B.E in Mechanical Engineering
Office Location : Bangalore, India
Travel : Very frequent domestic travels (Bangalore and other Indian cities)
