Your Role: Technical Manager – Poultry

As Technical Manager – Poultry, you will be part of the Elanco India and South Asia (ISA) team driving technical excellence and commercial growth within the poultry segment. In this role, you will serve as the strategic technical lead for key poultry accounts, providing scientific expertise, advancing product advocacy, and supporting market expansion initiatives across Elanco’s poultry portfolio. You will play a critical role in bridging veterinary science and business strategy to deliver measurable customer value and strengthen Elanco’s market position.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for the poultry segment in alignment with regional business objectives.

• Serve as the lead technical advisor for key and strategic accounts, delivering consultative support, diagnostics, and farm-level interventions.

• Lead technical training initiatives for commercial teams to strengthen product positioning and customer engagement across the poultry portfolio.

• Drive business growth by identifying emerging market opportunities, supporting new account acquisition, and providing technical guidance during market or disease-related challenges.

• Design and oversee field trials, proof-of-concept studies, and collaborations with industry stakeholders, veterinary institutions, and regulatory bodies to support product efficacy and scientific credibility.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Education: Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc & AH) required.

• Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in the animal health industry, including at least 5 years in a senior technical or consultative poultry-focused role.

• Strong technical expertise in poultry health, medicated feed additives, and vaccines, combined with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):

• MVSc in Poultry Science, Pathology, Veterinary Medicine, or related discipline.

• Deep understanding of poultry physiology, immunology, and gut health management.

• Experience translating technical and biological data into actionable customer insights and commercial value propositions.

• Strong presentation and influencing skills with experience engaging large-scale poultry integrations and senior decision-makers.

• Proven ability to adapt technical strategies in response to disease outbreaks, market volatility, and evolving customer needs.
