Technical Manager – AI, Computer Vision & Robotics Platforms
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly hands-on Technical Manager to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven industrial automation and robotics platforms. This role sits at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Robotics, and full-stack engineering, owning end-to-end execution from solution architecture to real-world deployment.
You will lead cross-functional engineering teams while working directly with clients to translate complex industrial and robotics challenges into scalable AI solutions deployed in real production environments.
Key Responsibilities
AI, Computer Vision & Robotics Leadership
- Architect and deliver AI/ML and Computer Vision solutions for industrial and robotic use cases such as inspection, monitoring, automation, perception systems, and predictive intelligence.
- Design perception and decision-making pipelines for robotic and autonomous systems.
- Lead model development, training pipelines, performance optimization, and production deployment.
- Guide engineers on best practices in data pipelines, model lifecycle management, and AI system reliability.
- Develop and integrate robot perception systems including object detection, tracking, localization, and scene understanding.
Platform & Full-Stack Ownership
- Oversee development of AI platforms, robotics software stacks, and automation systems including backend services, APIs, dashboards, and integration layers.
- Collaborate across frontend, backend, robotics, cloud, and edge teams to ensure scalable system design.
- Drive architecture decisions focused on performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Support development of robot control interfaces, monitoring tools, and operational dashboards.
Robotics & Industrial Automation Solutions
- Translate real-world industrial workflows into intelligent automation and robotic systems.
- Integrate AI platforms with robots, sensors, cameras, IoT devices, PLCs, and operational software.
- Work on robotic perception, navigation, motion planning, and autonomous system integration.
- Ensure solutions are robust, safe, and production-ready in industrial environments.
Team & Delivery Management
- Lead and mentor AI engineers, robotics engineers, computer vision specialists, and full-stack developers.
- Own sprint planning, technical execution, design reviews, and delivery timelines.
- Establish strong engineering practices, documentation standards, and code quality processes.
- Ensure successful deployment of complex AI and robotics systems.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the technical point of contact for enterprise and industrial customers.
- Gather requirements, propose architectures, conduct technical demos and proof-of-concept deployments.
- Translate customer challenges into AI-driven automation and robotics solutions.
- Manage technical escalations and ensure successful delivery and customer adoption.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical
- Strong hands-on experience in AI/ML and Computer Vision (OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience building real-time AI systems and production model deployment pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, model lifecycle management, and performance optimization.
- Experience in full-stack development (Python / Node.js backend, REST APIs, frontend frameworks such as React or Vue).
- Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices (AWS/Azure/GCP, CI/CD pipelines, containerization).
Robotics & Autonomous Systems
- Experience working with robotics software systems, robotic perception, or autonomous platforms.
- Familiarity with robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2 or similar robotics middleware.
- Understanding of robot perception, sensor fusion, navigation, and control systems.
- Experience integrating AI software with robotic hardware, sensors, cameras, LiDAR, and embedded systems is a strong plus.
Industrial / Systems Exposure
- Experience working with industrial automation, smart factories, robotics systems, IoT platforms, or AI-driven automation solutions.
- Understanding of software-hardware integration in production environments.
Leadership & Client Handling
- Proven experience managing technical teams and complex engineering deliveries.
- Strong communication skills to interface with enterprise customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business problems into scalable AI, robotics, and automation solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or related fields.
- Experience deploying AI or robotics solutions in production environments.
- Exposure to real-time systems, edge AI, robotics platforms, or autonomous vehicle technologies.
