About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to lead engineering execution. The selected candidate will work closely with product owners and domain experts to understand functional requirements, break them down into technical deliverables, and ensure timely, high-quality execution.
This is not a traditional, people-manager-only role. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role. Along with leading a team of engineers, the engineering manager will actively contribute to the codebase, architecture, and resolution of technically challenging problems.

What You'll Do
- Understand functional requirements and translate them into clear technical implementation plans
- Lead the engineering team to deliver high-quality software on time
- Spearhead hiring and help build a strong engineering team as the organisation grows
- Act as a system architect to prepare executable system designs
- Own end-to-end execution of features from requirement clarification to deployment
- Take ownership of complex technical modules and contribute directly as an Individual Contributor (IC) wherever required
- Review system architecture, design decisions, and code to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and regular feedback
- Coordinate priorities across engineering, product, AI, QA, and implementation teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Drive engineering excellence by improving development practices, documentation, testing, and deployment processes
What We're Looking For
- 4-5 years of experience in software engineering, with experience in leading development teams
- Strong software design and system architecture skills
- Ability to convert functional requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Hands-on coding ability with modern backend and frontend technologies
- Experience building cloud-native applications, APIs, and distributed systems
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical as well as functional stakeholders
- Ability to take ownership and drive execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in building an engineering team from scratch
- Experience in setting up best practices for engineering teams
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices
