Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance and repair operations for residential properties
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Manage a team of maintenance staff and contractors
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Conduct regular property inspections and assess the condition of buildings and systems
- Create and manage budgets for maintenance and improvement projects
- Coordinate with property managers and residents to address technical issues
- Evaluate and implement energy-efficient solutions and sustainable practices
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services
- Respond to emergency situations and coordinate necessary repairs
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and expenses
- Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in property maintenance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in property maintenance or facilities management
- Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and safety regulations
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in using property management software and MS Office suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed
