KOOKXTRA is building an AI-native platform that enables entrepreneurs to launch, validate, and scale digital businesses with ease. As we continue to evolve, we are looking for a Technical Lead / Software Architect to help shape both our product and technology foundation.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take ownership of product design and technical architecture. You will act as the bridge between business and engineering — working closely with the CEO to translate ideas into scalable, high-performing systems.
You will lead a small engineering team while also contributing to development, infrastructure, and overall technical strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Technical Architecture
- Collaborate with the CEO to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance system architecture
- Break down product ideas into actionable engineering tasks
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of 4+ engineers
- Ensure high standards of code quality and architecture
- Drive agile delivery, sprint planning, and task tracking (Jira/Confluence)
Infrastructure & DevOps
- Own and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Manage AWS infrastructure with a focus on scalability and cost optimization
- Oversee GitHub Actions, environments, and cloud configurations
Hands-On Development
- Contribute to the codebase when required
- Support the team across the stack (Java, Node.js, React, Next.js)
- Design and integrate APIs across frontend and backend systems
AI & Automation
- Explore and implement AI-driven features (OpenAI APIs, chatbots, automation)
- Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js
- Proficiency in React.js and Next.js (Flutter basics is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD, and infrastructure management
- Working knowledge of Firebase
- Strong understanding of API design, system integrations, and full-stack architecture
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies
- Proven experience in team leadership and multi-project management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical execution
- Awareness of AI tools and modern automation frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Technical Lead, Software Architect, or Engineering Manager
- Background in startup or fast-paced environments
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on scalability and efficiency
- Passion for mentoring and improving engineering processes
