We are seeking to hire an accomplished Technical Lead who will be responsible for the complete digital, network, and software infrastructure that powers every SIMR Ecosystem Initiatives event — ensuring a competitive, fair, and broadcast-ready racing experience across all rigs.
The ideal candidate is expected to be technically exceptional, calm under pressure, and deeply passionate about sim-racing software and network engineering. You will bring precision, expertise, and a race-day mentality to TECHXHUB's rapidly scaling event series. Experience in sim-racing platform configuration, LAN infrastructure, and live event broadcast technology is essential. Competitive sim-racers and those with hands-on knowledge of Assetto Corsa, iRacing, or equivalent platforms are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
• Configure and manage the race server environment for every SIMR Ecosystem Initiatives activation — including game server setup, session management, and race format programming across platforms such as Assetto Corsa Competizione or iRacing.
• Design and deploy the LAN and local network topology connecting all 20 rigs, minimizing latency and eliminating race-affecting disconnections.
• Define and enforce car selection, track, weather, and race configuration settings per event format including qualifying, sprint heats, and grand finals.
• Tune and standardize Force Feedback (FFB) profiles across all simulators to ensure a consistent and fair driving experience for every participant.
• Integrate and operate live leaderboard and timing software, feeding real-time data to on-screen displays and broadcast overlays.
• Conduct a full-system technical rehearsal 24–48 hours prior to every event, documenting all configurations in a recoverable backup.
• Coordinate with the freelance IT/Network Technician on event day for live infrastructure monitoring, network stability, and rapid incident response.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software, server, or digital hardware issues in real time during live events with zero tolerance for race-impacting delays.
• Maintain a continuously updated technical playbook covering server configs, network diagrams, backup procedures, and incident logs.
• Research and evaluate new sim-racing platforms, game titles, timing software, and technical integrations to elevate the SIMR Ecosystem Initiatives experience.
• Collaborate with the SIMR platform team on leaderboard APIs, digital event formats, and technical standards alignment.
Qualifications
• High Energy and Enthusiastic Team Player with a proven technical background in sim-racing, gaming IT, or live event broadcast infrastructure.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under live event pressure.
• Deep expertise in at least one major sim-racing platform — Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing, rFactor 2, or Automobilista 2.
• Strong networking skills — LAN architecture, managed switch configuration, router setup, and real-time network performance monitoring.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-stakes, and event-driven technical environment.
• 3+ years of technical experience in sim-racing, gaming infrastructure, or live event production technology.
• Experience with broadcast and streaming tools including OBS, NDI, in-game cameras, and overlay integration.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation (Python or equivalent) for configuration management and reporting is a strong advantage.
