Are You The One?
As a Technical Lead, you will define, implement, and scale the quality strategy for MatchMove’s API-first platform. This is a hands-on IC + Influence role where you will leverage Generative AI to optimize effort, improve coverage, and accelerate delivery. You will architect modern practices, implement them directly on key products, and mentor the team to shift quality left—all without compromising security or regulatory rigor.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Architecture: Define the end-to-end quality strategy and testing pyramid; establish quality ownership across Dev, QA, and Platform teams.
- API & Contract Testing: Use OpenAPI (OAS) to validate contracts, enforce backward compatibility, and protect external consumers.
- GenAI Optimization: Apply GenAI to bootstrap API test coverage, identify edge cases, reduce flakiness, and speed up engineer onboarding.
- Automation Platforms: Design fast, deterministic, CI/CD-friendly frameworks and libraries using mocks and simulators for external dependencies (banks, networks).
- Regulatory & Security Quality: Embed data privacy, secure test data management, and audit-ready artifacts into the SDLC.
- Mentorship: Lead by example through hands-on coding while coaching engineers on automation and quality-first thinking.
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years in Software Quality Engineering with a deep focus on API-first microservices (Fintech or regulated domains preferred).
- Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang), HTTP/REST semantics, and OAS-driven validation.
- Distributed Systems: Proficiency in testing asynchronous flows, event-driven architectures, and failure/resilience patterns.
- Modern Tooling: Familiarity with GenAI workflows for test generation, maintenance, and coverage analysis within CI/CD pipelines.
- Engineering Mindset: Mastery of "testing economics"—balancing velocity, confidence, and regulatory rigor in ambiguous environments.
- Leadership: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence architecture and mentor teams without direct authority.
