We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead - Python to build clean, scalable, maintainable, and production-ready applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience taking Python applications into production, enforcing engineering best practices.
What you'll do at EvoluteIQ:
- Architecture & Engineering: Own end-to-end solution design across browser/client, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, load balancers/reverse proxies, APIs/services, databases, caching, messaging, containers and cloud infrastructure.
- Python Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance for Python services using FastAPI/Flask/Django or equivalent; drive clean architecture, API design, code quality, reviews, debugging and engineering standards.
- Data & Distributed Systems: Design with RDBMS and NoSQL technologies; understand schema design, transactions, indexing, query optimization, caching, asynchronous processing, clustering and distributed-system trade-offs.
- Non-Functional Requirements: Own scalability, performance, availability, reliability, security, observability, maintainability, resiliency, backup/recovery, DR and capacity considerations from design through production.
- Design Governance: Prepare HLDs; translate architecture into clear components/interfaces/data flows; guide the team to create LLDs and validate designs before implementation.
- Planning & Delivery: Break requirements into technical work, validate WBS and estimates, identify dependencies/risks, and work closely with Project Management on execution and delivery tracking.
- Problem Solving & Mentoring: Lead root-cause analysis across application, database, network and infrastructure layers; mentor engineers and raise team capability in design, estimation, coding and troubleshooting
What will you bring to the team
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2–4+ years in a Technical Lead / Lead Engineer role
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python and backend engineering
- Experience with FastAPI / Flask / Django, REST APIs, microservices, and async processing
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS, NoSQL, caching, and search technologies
- Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS, TCP/IP, OAuth2/OIDC/JWT, and API security
- Experience with distributed systems, scalability, load balancing, clustering, and performance engineering
- Hands-on exposure to Linux, NGINX/reverse proxies, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
