Role Summary
We are looking for a highly driven and business-oriented Product Owner/Product Manager to lead product vision, roadmap execution, and value delivery across digital platforms and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, architects, and program leadership to define product strategy, prioritize business outcomes, and ensure successful Agile delivery.
The role requires strong experience in Agile product management, stakeholder communication, backlog governance, sprint execution, and measurable business value realization.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and communicate clear product vision, roadmap, and strategic direction aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, leadership teams, and technology partners to identify market opportunities and business priorities.
- Translate business goals into scalable product capabilities and measurable outcomes.
- Drive continuous product innovation and improvement initiatives.
- Align product roadmap with organizational transformation and digital strategy.
- Product Backlog Management
- Own and manage the product backlog with clear prioritization and refinement.
- Ensure backlog items are well-defined, estimated, and aligned with business value.
- Continuously review and reprioritize backlog based on changing business needs, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to maintain implementation readiness.
- Ensure proper governance of epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Requirements & User Stories
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements from business stakeholders.
- Create detailed user stories, workflows, process diagrams, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure stories are clear, testable, and aligned with expected business outcomes.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, and solution walkthroughs with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with QA teams to validate business scenarios and acceptance testing.
- Prioritization & Decision Making
- Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value, risk, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Make data-driven decisions balancing scope, timelines, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
- Resolve conflicts related to priorities, dependencies, and delivery constraints.
- Participate in roadmap planning, release planning, and investment discussions.
- Ensure alignment between short-term delivery goals and long-term product strategy.
- Sprint Involvement (Agile Execution)
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide continuous clarifications to development teams during sprint execution.
- Track sprint progress, risks, dependencies, and impediments to ensure successful delivery.
- Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and business expectations.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and engineering teams to improve Agile maturity and delivery efficiency.
- Delivery & Value Tracking
- Monitor product delivery against defined KPIs, business metrics, and customer outcomes.
- Track adoption, ROI, productivity improvements, and operational impact of delivered features.
- Ensure successful release planning, stakeholder communication, and production rollout support.
- Prepare dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries for leadership reviews.
- Drive continuous feedback loops and improvement based on customer and stakeholder inputs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Product Lead in Agile environments.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.
- Strong expertise in backlog management, user story creation, and sprint execution.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, architecture, and business teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Experience with tools like Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
- Ability to work in fast-paced enterprise delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Agile metrics, product analytics, and value realization frameworks.
- Scrum/Product certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent preferred.
