Role: Senior Moodle Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Moodle Developer Lead with extensive experience in managing educational technology projects, specifically with a strong emphasis on Moodle. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of Moodle's functionalities and capabilities, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Moodle-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against these metrics.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including instructional designers, developers, and end-users, to gather requirements and ensure successful implementation of Moodle solutions.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff and users to maximize the effective use of Moodle.
- Identify risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, challenges, and successes.
- Ensure compliance with best practices and standards in project management and Moodle usage.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project processes and methodologies.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven expertise in Moodle, including configuration, customization, and administration.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in stakeholder management and engagement.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with other Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technologies.
- Experience in e-learning content development and instructional design.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools related to Moodle.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Education Technology, or a related field.
- 8 to 11 years of experience in development, with a focus on educational technology and Moodle.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering results.
